Doaa, Shahida, Roua, Muska and Sara provided lunch for our whole staff.  They each brought cultural dishes that they eat to celebrate EID. It was delicious! Thank you so much!

Hello Fairhill Families!

We hope you are having a wonderful week. As a reminder, this Saturday, 4/20, is our Spring Fairhill Garden Day! This is a collaborative event between Fairhill staff and the PTA. It is one of the top favorite Fairhill events for many of our families. There will be science activities for students, opportunities to garden and lay mulch, and of course, our playground will be open. Please scroll down  for more information.

We hope you to see you this Saturday, from 9:00 AM - 11:00AM.

Also remember tomorrow is PURPLE UP DAY to support military families!  Let's turn Fairhill PURPLE tomorrow!

Take care,

Ted & Marua

Class Placement Family Input

We are working on our plans for the 2024-25 school year and will be collecting parent input electronically. Class placements are an essential component of learning and building community. If you have information that you would like us to consider as we determine placements, please take a few moments to answer

The end of the year will be here before we blink an eye and we are currently planning for the next school year. Class placements are an essential component of learning and building community. Very soon our teachers will work together to create classes built on the idea that students learn from each other’s strengths.

Please provide your input about the learning environment best suited for your child.  Click HERE for the Fairhill Elementary 2024-2025 Kindergarten Parent Input Form Click HERE for Parent Input for Class Placements 2024-2025 so that the information can be processed before class building.

Please note that we do not take direct teacher requests. Instead, we ask that you describe the attributes that will support your child best. Completion of this form is optional however, the deadline to complete it is June 2nd.

News from FCPS

Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) School Health Services Internal Survey

The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians of FCPS students. Parents/guardians will be asked for feedback on the level of satisfaction with School Health services provided to the school community. The survey will be distributed electronically via FCPS This Week. The survey window is April 15 - April 26, 2024. Survey link: www.redcap.link/FCHDSchoolHealthSurvey.

Survey results will provide a basis for quality improvement of School Health services. The data-driven process is in alignment with the FCPS Strategic planning process, and the survey results will contribute positively to the FCPS Strategic Plan that reflects a shared consensus among stakeholders.
