Some clubs are full or close to full, but we still have space in these fantastic clubs:

Nature Explorers: The Wonders of Wetlands
This is a new to Terraset club facilitated by the scientists at NoVa Park Authority's Riverbend Park. Students will explore Terraset's natural habitat and learn about it's native plants and animals, get up close and personal with aquatic life, and participate in fun games and activities. Programming note: this club is being hosted at Terraset, not at Riverbend Park!

Flag Football
Students will learn the fundamentals of flag football, including passing, catching, running routes and punting like the pros. Players will get a chance to be running backs, wide receivers, defensive ends, and corner backs. The flag football club will also promote teamwork and encourage sportsmanship.

Chess
The Chess Club is taught by professional instructors from Snow's Chess Academy. Students will learn chess in a way that helps them appreciate the art, strategy, tactics, and joy of the game. Chess Club is geared toward students who have at least a basic understanding of chess and is a fun learning experience for all who love the royal game of chess!

Blue Wand Magic
In Blue Wand Magic, students will learn the different types of magic from dinner table tricks to big stage illusions, but more importantly they will discover the real secrets to becoming a true magician as each lesson reveals an important life skill to help build their confidence and communication skills.

Theatre
In Theatre Club, students will learn theatre games, acting terminology, performance etiquette, and scene work. This class will encourage students to act silly and express themselves while learning how to respect others, use and develop their imagination, and grow their confidence

Yoga
The yoga club will blend poses, meditations, drawings, music, books, sing a longs, stories, and games to help students develop focus, flexibility, strength, and calmness.

Cheer Stars
Cheer stars is designed to teach basic to advanced concepts of cheer. Students will work on motions and jump technique, stunting basics and cheer dances! Cheerleaders will gain strength, performance techniques and improve on their showmanship.

Get Excited for Terraset’s First Ever Square 1 Art Fundraiser!
Our art teachers worked with students during the 3rd quarter to create art that Square 1 will put on custom keepsakes for families to purchase and help raise funds for the school. Your student’s art catalog is coming home this week. The deadline for Square 1 orders is Wednesday, April 17 and orders will ship directly home within 2-3 weeks.
Terraset Ninja Night/Grown Ups’ Night Out
Join fellow tigers at Life Champ Martial Arts of Reston for a Terraset Ninja Night from 5:30 to 10 pm on Saturday, April 27. The cost is $40 per child if you register early, price goes up to $50 the day of the event. Pizza is included. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Terraset PTO.
We need plenty of tigers to be signed up for us to hold the event, so please fill out the registration form and return it to Life Champ before April 19. Extra forms are in the office and will be sent home in Tuesday folders again next week.
Not sure what to do while your student is having fun at Life Champ? Join other Terraset Grown Ups at Red’s Table for a chance to catch up with familiar and new faces you’ve seen around school or at family events.

All Are Welcome at the May PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be May 1 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the cafeteria featuring a talk from our school guidance counselors. We’ll also be electing our slate of officers for ‘24-’25 (email the Nominating Committee at nominating@terrasetpto.org by Monday, April 8 if you’re interested in being slated!), so we need plenty of members to attend! Refreshment and free childcare provided.

Esta es una novedad en el club Terraset facilitada por los científicos del Parque Riverbend de NoVa Park Authority. Bandera de Futbol
Los estudiantes aprenderán los fundamentos del fútbol de banderas, incluidos pasar, atrapar, correr rutas y despejar como los profesionales. Los jugadores tendrán la oportunidad de ser corredores, receptores abiertos, alas defensivas y esquineros. El club de fútbol de bandera también promoverá el trabajo en equipo y fomentará el espíritu deportivo.

El Club de Ajedrez es impartido por instructores profesionales de Snow's Chess Academy. Las porristas ganarán fuerza, técnicas de actuación y mejorarán su talento para el espectáculo.

¡Emociónese por la primera recaudación de fondos de arte Square 1 de Terraset!
Nuestros maestros de arte trabajaron con los estudiantes durante el tercer trimestre para crear arte que Square 1 colocará en recuerdos personalizados para que las familias los compren y ayuden a recaudar fondos para la escuela. El catálogo de arte de su estudiante llegará a casa esta semana. La fecha límite para los pedidos de Square 1 es el miércoles 17 de abril y los pedidos se enviarán directamente a casa en un plazo de 2 a 3 semanas.
Terraset Ninja Night/Noche de Adultos
Únase a otros tigres en Life Champ Martial Arts de Reston para una Noche Ninja Terraset de 5:30 a 10 p.m. el sábado 27 de abril. El costo es de $40 por niño si se registra temprano, el precio sube a $50 el día del evento. La pizza está incluida. Una parte de las ganancias del evento beneficiará al PTO de Terraset.
Necesitamos que se inscriban muchos tigres para poder realizar el evento, así que complete el formulario de inscripción y devuélvalo a Life Champ antes del 19 de abril. Los formularios adicionales están en la oficina y se enviarán a casa en carpetas del martes nuevamente la próxima semana. .
