Our MV Winter Guard held a dress rehearsal of their competitive show in preparation for their Indoor Championships this weekend in Hampton on Wednesday during Major Time. These students are AMAZING, and we wish them the best of luck!

Voting began today at 9:00 am and ends Saturday at 9:00 am. Please vote, get others to vote, get your classes to vote! We are up against Woodbridge HS, and they have already hit the ground running! You need to go to Hot 99.5 on Insta @HOT995, and there are pink bars at the top, click to move to this page (picture to left) and then click on the Majors Mascot! Winning school gets $1000 and bragging rights, of course!
The Great American Eclipse
A total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8, and will be viewable, depending on weather, in Fairfax County. The eclipse will begin in our area around 2:04 p.m. and end around 4:32 p.m., with the maximum eclipse occurring around 3:20 p.m.
Because the timing overlaps with dismissal, it is crucial that students understand the importance of safe viewing practices. We encourage families to review these Solar Eclipse Resources, especially the eye safety information. We hope everyone takes the opportunity to learn more about this extraordinary natural phenomenon while prioritizing safe solar viewing.

Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) School Health Services Internal Survey
The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians of FCPS students. Parents/guardians are asked for feedback on the level of satisfaction with School Health services provided to the school community. The survey will be distributed electronically via FCPS This Week. The survey window is April 15 - April 26, 2024. Survey link: www.redcap.link/FCHDSchoolHealthSurvey.
Survey results will provide a basis for quality improvement of School Health services. The data-driven process is in alignment with the FCPS Strategic planning process, and the survey results will contribute positively to the FCPS Strategic Plan that reflects a shared consensus among stakeholders.

Join us to see how Mathspace fosters independent learning at every grade level! This informative session will highlight how your student can use Mathspace to independently tackle math challenges, perfectly aligned with their grade-level course. We will demonstrate how to use this tool to prepare for the Math SOL assessment. Don't miss this chance to boost your students' self-driven learning adventure!
Additionally, a new SOL task template will be auto-assigned, this year, to students for optional practice/study.

PTSA Spring Craft Fair
We are a week away from our Spring Craft Fair on Saturday, April 13th from 10am-3pm in the cafeteria, Door 4. We will be hosting a variety of vendors offering unique gift options for your family, friends, neighbors, co‑workers, and yourself including jewelry, pet accessories, candles, makeup, children's books, and MORE!
We look forward to seeing you there for shopping and kicking off Spring fun!
