From the Principal’s Pen

Dear Laurel Hill Families,

Please join us Thursday, March 20 at 6pm-8pm for our 2nd annual Literacy Night! This serves as our culminating activity for One School One Book. Students will engage in face painting, games, crafts, raffles, and literacy activities. Food trucks will also be available. We hope to see you all then!

We also want to remind you that we are currently open for 2024-2025  kindergarten registration. Our registrar, Sarah Orlick, is accepting appointments. Please reach out to her via phone or email at 703-551-5300 or SCOrlick@fcps.edu for scheduling a date/time.

It is a bit hard to believe that the third quarter ends Friday, and we will be down to one last quarter for the school year. The fourth quarter will find us quite busy as we begin navigating end-of-the-year assessments, promotion, incoming kindergarten registration, and more. We hope everyone is looking forward to next week's break and finds the time to reflect, reset, and refresh!

🌷 March 25-29 is spring break. Schools and school offices will be closed. Students will return for the start of the 4th quarter on Wednesday, April 3rd. We wish our students and teachers a happy and restful Spring Break!

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Sincerely,

Janice Dalton, Principal

Addison Smith, Assistant Principal

Thmeaka Traylor, Assistant Principal
