Feb. 5-9
- Students finalized course selections with school counselors through PE classes. Please review the intended courses for the 24-25 school year with your student. Course requests will be viewable in ParentVUE by the end of February.
2nd Quarter report cards were distributed to students to take home on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Grades are also viewable in ParentVue. Our 2nd quarter honor roll celebration was held on Thursday, Feb. 8.
Counselors are assigned by alphabet and your first point of contact for any question or concerns you might have.

Exciting news! We're excited to announce the completion of several new/renovated spaces in our building. The cafeteria, library, science/math wing, culinary arts, automotive tech, and STEM lab are now finished and eagerly awaiting the enjoyment of our students and staff!
Join us in commemorating this significant milestone with a community open house, inviting you to explore our recently unveiled spaces. Although there's still a lot of work ahead, we're thrilled to share the progress achieved with our community!
Gather in the new cafeteria for light refreshments, from there you can embark on self-guided tours. Our students and administrative staff will be stationed throughout the building, ready to provide details about the exciting new spaces. All are welcome!
How can students participate in mathematics throughout high school in a way that is relevant to and supportive of post-secondary and career interests?
During this session we will discuss mathematics graduation requirements and how to support students in navigating the various course offerings currently available in FCPS.
Students and their families may start thinking about what course pathways are available beginning in middle school. Join us to learn more.
Presented by Jennifer Allard FCPS High School Math Specialist and Erin Sylves FCPS Math Specialist.

Register for Understanding High School Mathematics Course Offerings
 Our students should always be able to be safe on their way to and from the school on the bus. If there is something or someone in the community that is causing concern at a bus stop, do not hesitate to contact me and let me know about it.
If your student has something happen at the bus stop that causes them to feel unsafe, have them call 9-1-1 right away.
Talk to your child and come up with a plan for what to do. If you need any further suggestions for safety at the bus stop, reach out to me. I would be happy to talk.

Food Pantry: The Luther Jackson Middle School Food Pantry needs your help! We need parent volunteers to assist with food pick-up, bag packing, and food distribution. Interested in helping, but your schedule doesn't allow you to volunteer?
