 The WSES SCA is hosting the Souper Bowl next week from February 5-February 9. The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement across the nation working together to fight hunger and poverty in their communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game. It helps to replenish our community food banks after depletion from the holidays.
Students can donate non-perishable food items by voting for who will win the Super Bowl, the 49ers or Chiefs, by placing the item in the appropriate box.
We will track as a school and see if our predictions were correct on the morning news on Monday, February 12.

WSES Community Peers Program
Our Community Peers Program will invite a limited number of community preschoolers (2 per class), who are ages 3.5 (by September 30th) to 5 years, to participate in our daily preschool activities. Students will be invited to participate in the half-day program either in the AM or PM, but not both.
If you are interested in having your child considered for this opportunity, please complete the Community Peers Preschool Program Interest and Information Form by Friday, March 1st. West Springfield will host an informational session for interested students in late March/early April.
Parent Volunteers
WSES is fortunate to have individuals, groups, and organizations who contribute time and energy to students as volunteers. Because student safety is of utmost importance, we ask that our volunteers complete the following prior to volunteering:

If you have any neighbors with little ones, please send this information to them as well. This form simply collects initial information to help us plan for staffing for the next school year.
