February 19- Presidents' Day- Student Holiday
Feb. 5-9
- Finalize course selections with counselor through PE classes. Students will meet one-on-one with their school counselor to review their course selections for the 24-25 school year. Please review the intended courses with your student. Course requests will be viewable in ParentVUE by the end of February.
2nd Quarter Ends on Jan. 25. Please remind your student to turn in late or missing work as soon as possible. StudentVUE and ParentVUE are not accessible when grades are being posted. Report cards will be given to your student to take home on Thursday, Feb. 8.
Feb. 5-9 is National School Counseling Week where we focus on the unique contributions of school counselors and the academic, personal, and social impact they make with our students and families. Thank you Ms. DeVault, Ms. Marquina, Dr. Simmons, and Mr. Tickle for all that you do for our Jackson community!!
Counselors are assigned by alphabet and your first point of contact for any question or concerns you might have.
 Our students should always be able to be safe on their way to and from the school on the bus. If there is something or someone in the community that is causing concern at a bus stop, do not hesitate to contact me and let me know about it.
If your student has something happen at the bus stop that causes them to feel unsafe, have them call 9-1-1 right away.
Talk to your child and come up with a plan for what to do. If you need any further suggestions for safety at the bus stop, reach out to me. I would be happy to talk.

PTA Meeting: Our next PTA meeting is on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. We will have a special guest, Kelly Gould, present on the renovation needs for the school building and how the parent community can help with this effort.

Interested in helping, but your schedule doesn't allow you to volunteer? Please consider donating food, personal hygiene items, household cleaning products, or reusable grocery bags to help our families utilize the food pantry.
