Educators have fun, too! Dr. Aye joined in on the Music Department's trip to Disney, with Band Director Noah Freeman, Orchestra Director Gerald Fowkes, and Chorus Director Julianna Woodill. Mr. Freeman's wife, Jenna Freeman, on the left, who is the Band Director at Whitman MS, was able to tag along as well!

Just like that, our Semester 1 has ended! We are so proud of all our student's hard work and dedication as they kicked the year off with a PAWSome focus on hard work and accountable actions. The exciting part of endings is the opportunity for new beginnings and a strong start to Quarter 3. We look forward to supporting student success and finishing strong in the new year.
The music department makes magic happen. There is nothing more magical than 185 students, staff, and parents heading to Disney to record songs with Imagineers and perhaps have a little bit of fun as well. The camaraderie and community warm this LION's heart.
Science is in the air with our amazing Science Fair taking place this Saturday. The high quality of student projects, presentations, and experimentation speak to the level of inquiry, analysis, and synthesis taking place in our Science program. I hypothesize much student success.
Today our FBLA students compete in fierce Regional Competition. Their hard work in planning and prep have not gone unnoticed as they prepare for the boardroom. We cannot wait to hear the results.
Attendance Matters and so do YOU. We will continue to promote daily attendance and on time arrival. We need you in school to support your success.
See you on Monday, ready to ROAR into Semester 2!
In partnership always,

Student Recognition - We want to hear from You!
Hey Fairfax Parents!
We want to recognize students who are involved in our community outside of school. It’s uplifting to hear about the great things our students are doing, but they’re not always forthcoming when it comes to telling the adults in the building about them. We wanted to provide a chance for your students’ accomplishments to be seen and spotlight their community involvement that might not be recognized otherwise. If you think your student may fall into this, please take a minute to fill out this quick survey and give us the opportunity to celebrate your student too.
