A message from Principal Steven McFarlane
Kilmer Community,
The next parent newsletter will arrive in your inbox on Tuesday, January 2. Until then, we’ve included a few photos of the happenings at Kilmer this week.
A reminder that our offices will be closed December 18-January 1. We hope you and your families have a safe and relaxing Winter Break and a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing everyone back at Kilmer on January 2, 2024!
Sincerely,
Steven McFarlane

This week we honored Kilmer’s Outstanding Employees. Pictured left to right: Debra David, Outstanding Leader; Ruth Baxley, Outstanding Teacher, Luis Barahona Gonzalez, Outstanding New Teacher, Corey Thornblad, Outstanding Professional, Giau Ngo, Outstanding Operational Employee.
Our talented orchestra students welcomed staff and students every morning this week during arrival before the first bell.
Students from Ms. Tempesta and Ms. Hazlin’s Young Scholars 7th grade Learning Seminar got the opportunity to collaborate on coding, and create an electronic rock, paper, scissors game. They also headed to the MakerSpace to create slime as part of a team-building activity after the Holiday Concert.
On Wednesday, Kilmer’s chorus, band, and orchestra students performed during an assembly for the entire student body. It was a fun way to celebrate the hard work and talents of our student musicians.
Kilmer’s staff got into the holiday spirit!
