Kilmer at a Glance

asd

Kilmer Community,

We had a busy end to the first quarter. Last Friday evening, hundreds of students and families attended the PTA Fall Festival. A big thank you to Liz Powell for organizing and the many other PTA volunteers who made this fun event possible for our students.

Also, on Friday evening Kilmer participated in the first-ever Central Fairfax Basketball Tournament which brought together FCPS Middle School Afterschool Program participants from Kilmer, Holmes, Poe, Glasgow, and Luther Jackson. Our co-ed team battled on the court, taking home 2nd place. A big thank you to Kim Kardelis for organizing, and Brian Sirdofsky, Timmy Harris, and Jerry Gonzales for coaching.

Saturday morning found us right back at Kilmer for the final cross-country meet of the season. Our student-athletes ran well and watching them cheer for one another along the course was an energizing way to spend Saturday morning. A huge thank you to Coaches Emma Bolin and Will Baxley!

Finally, please consider taking a few minutes to recognize the talented staff members we have at Kilmer. You may complete a Kilmer Middle School Outstanding Employee nomination through the KMS Outstanding Awards Nomination form.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend, and as always, reach out if you have any questions.
