Tips to Help Keep Children Safe
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) reminds parents and caregivers that it’s important to talk to your children about safety topics including:
- What parents should know about their children’s plans.
- Having a meeting spot in case of getting separated.
- Establishing safe areas.
- What to do if you are followed.
Visit the FCPD website for more details on how to discuss safety topics.
PTSA NEWSLETTER & NEXT MEETING
Our weekly newsletter can be found here and highlights include:
BELL GAME FOOD DRIVE COMPETITION - Falls Church is already up and running on the food collection competition! If you can't come to the Bell Game, drop off your donations in our bin in the JHS office (marked WOLF SHACK) now until game day! PLEASE HELP US BEAT THE JAGUARS AND SHOW WOLF PACK PRIDE!
HOLIDAY TREE SALES HAVE STARTED - HELP our school-community programs AND bring some CHEER into your home by ordering a fresh-cut Frasier Fir evergreen tree. Decorate your tree with whatever theme suits you! Black, red, and green for Kwanzaa? Blue and white for Hanukkah? Gold and silver for Christmas? Yellow for New Years? Pink and purple for the fun of it? Anything goes!
Pay similar prices to Meadows Farms, but the profit will instead be a donation to support our community! Order a 6-7 ft., 7-8 ft., or 8-9 ft. Frasier Fir tree (these are the same trees sold at Meadows Farms) online between October 25 and November 21. Pick it up in the Justice High School Parking lot on December 1 between 4pm and 7pm (rain or shine). The trees come pre-wrapped and there will be helper elves (and twine) to help you load it into or onto your vehicle as you come through the drive-thru line. You can also order a tree to donate and we will ensure that it is delivered to a school family.

POST-HALLOWEEN CANDY DRIVE - The candy bowl at the Wolf Shack is a favorite with students. Candy has a way of making students smile, starting conversations, and helping build community. If you have left-over or unwanted candy after Halloween festivities, please consider donating to the Wolf Shack! We will have a donation bin in the school office from October 31-November 6 for easy drop off.
