Dear Fairview Families, the PTA Officers are excited to start the school and working on getting our membership platform stood up. We hope you will consider becoming members of our amazing PTA this year! Your membership goes towards all of our family fun events, supporting teachers and staff, school enrichment and curriculum, and so much more. You will also have access to the membership database which will help you connect with other families! Standby for more information on how to join and look for our table during the Kindergarten popsicles on the playground (10 Aug) and Open House (18 Aug). EPI School Supply Kit Info
If you purchased an EPI school supply kit for the upcoming school year, they will be delivered next week and distributed to classrooms prior to the open house on the 18th of August. If anyone is interested in helping distribute the kits, please contact Libby Smith at Treasurer@Fairviewpta.org

It’s Not Too Late to Register for Kindergarten!
If your child will be five years old by September 30 and has not been registered for kindergarten yet, check out this easy-to-follow five step process.

Support Your Child’s Success
Access your student’s attendance records, grades, and assignments at any time with SIS ParentVUE. Caregivers should receive an activation code when they register their child.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. Access SIS ParentVUE by using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.

🍎 Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications Available
According to the Centers for Disease Control, eating breakfast at school is associated with better attendance rates, fewer missed school days, and better test scores. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals receive breakfast and lunch at school at no cost.
Families in FCPS that are earning less than 185% of the poverty level can receive meals for their students at no cost. Families should complete the application before the start of each school year. Approved applications may also qualify students for additional benefits.
