Principal Message
Dear Roadrunners
I hope all of our Roadrunner Families are enjoying a wonderful summer!
We are getting closer to the first day of school, and I wanted to ensure everyone knows a few critical items for the upcoming school year. The first is that with our Community Partnerships' help and funding from our Title I Program, we will once again provide Back to School Supplies for ALL LORTON STATION STUDENTS!!! We are excited to remove this burden from our families again; we cannot cover some items. Please see further information below. Additionally, Lorton Station will host our first Back to School BBQ on August 17th, following the Open House. Please join us for food, music, and a chance to socialize.

School Supplies
Lorton Station ES will, once again, be providing the majority of the required school supplies for all students for the upcoming school year. Families are asked to provide the following supplemental items:
- Backpack
- 1 set of headphones
- Quarter Gallon Ziploc Bags
Throughout the remainder of the school year, classroom teachers may request a voluntary donation of any specific items should they run low. We thank our LSES families in advance for their partnership and look forward to providing our students the tools they need to grow and learn!

New Roadrunners - Make a registration appointment today!
Lorton Station is excited to welcome new families to the Roadrunner family and neighborhood! If you know a new neighbor with school-aged children, please encourage them to make a registration appointment as early as possible. Early registrations help us with staffing and prepare for a smooth opening for the school year. The Fairfax County Public Library has tons of print, audio, and Ebook options. Go to the website on your computer or download the Libby by Overdrive app on your tablet or phone.
- MyOn has many books at a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- Students log in with their FCPS username and password.
- Tumblebooks has a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- After signing in, click on the ebook tab for chapter bookss.
- MackinVia is a collection of FCPS ebooks and audiobooks.
