The Chantilly main office will be closed on Friday, July 21 for summer cleaning.  If you require immediate assisstance, please contact your student's sub school between the hours of 9 AM and 1 PM.  The main office will re-open on Monday, July 24, 2023. Thank you for your understanding and support.

23-24 Opening Events: All Grades

Chargin In 2023 (August 16th)
Chantilly Open House:

All Chantilly students, grades 9-12, are invited to attend our 2023 Open House, Chargin In!. Come by school on Wednesday, August 16th  anytime between 4:00pm and 7:00pm to check out the new improvements to the building, walk your schedule on your own, participate in the activities fair to learn about clubs and activities, join the various Chantilly Booster clubs, get some new spirit wear, and have dinner and desert at one of the food trucks.

Back to School Night 2023 (August 29th):  The Chantilly HS 2023 Back to School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29th.  This is an opportunity for parents to walk their student's schedule, meet their teachers, and hear information about the course. Please save this date as more information regarding times and logistics will be announced at a later date.

Charge Ahead and Freshman Orientation Information

Charge Ahead (August 8, 9, 10)  Chantilly's Jump Start Program:

Back by popular demand, Chantilly HS is offering 3 one day  optional Freshmen “Charge Ahead" sessions to support student transition to high school.  One day sessions will be offered on Aug 8th, 9th, or 10th from 9am-1pm.  Students will get a chance to get to know Chantilly staff and students and learn how to navigate high school life. The cost is $50 per student and includes a class of 2027 t-shirt, snacks, & a Chick-fil-A lunch.  Fees collected pay for materials for the program, food, and staff salaries. Freshman Orientation

Freshman Orientation (August 17):

All Freshmen Class of 2027 students should plan to attend Freshman Orientation on Thursday, August 17 in the morning. At this event, students will walk through their schedules, meet their teachers, and get acclimated to arrival and dismissal routines. A full schedule will be provided later in the summer. Transportation will be offered.


Fall Sports Information

Fall Sports tryouts are two weeks away. Golf tryouts start on July 27th and all other sports start on July 31st.  Is your Charger prepared for tryouts?  All student-athletes must have a completed VHSL physical form and a CHS rSChool registration submitted prior to tryouts. Immunization Requirements for Rising Seniors

The Code of Virginia requires all students to be immunized against certain communicable diseases prior to entrance into Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).

All students entering twelfth grade will be required to receive one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) administered at age 16 or older, and prior to the beginning of school.

Twelfth grade students cannot begin school in August without proper Meningococcal documentation.

Please provide one of the following documents to Liz Fisher at befisher@fcps.edu­­ as soon as possible:

  1. An updated immunization record showing that the student has received the Meningococcal vaccine.
  2. A note on a healthcare provider’s letterhead stating the date the Meningococcal vaccine was given.
  3. A healthcare provider’s written statement of a permanent or temporary medical exemption.
  4. A notarized Religious Exemption Form which is available online
