1. A Note from Dr. Goodloe
Dear Charger Community,
It has been a great week at Chantilly. Here are a few highlights of connections that we made with students, staff and the community throughout the week:
-
The last day of school for our Class of 2023 Seniors was June 1. We enjoyed celebrating their future plans with a spirit day. Please note the reminders about Graduation and mandatory graduation rehearsal below. Graduation rehearsal will be followed by a senior breakfast and later in the day senior graduation walks at CHS and at feeder elementary schools.
-
Underclass Awards: Congratulations to all of our underclass students (grades 9-11) who were recognized at our awards presentation earlier this week. It was inspiring to hear of their accomplishments and contributions to the Charger community.
- We wish our track athletes competing in the VA state meet all the best!
-
It was my pleasure to attend and recognize our graduating seniors at the Secondary Transition to Employment Program (STEP) End of Year Celebration breakfast at the Fairfax Marriott (pictured above). We are so grateful for the partnership between our staff, students, and the community businesses that offer meaningful work and career development opportunities for our students.
-
Congratulations to our students and music department faculty who have been recognized by the Virginia Music Educators Association with the Blue Ribbon Award. This award recognizes schools who have superior performing ensembles as measured by District Performance Ratings from each of the top performing groups in each course taught (Band, Choir Orchestra). We are so proud of our Chargers!
- Our French students (pictured below) in Ms. Delamatta's classes had the opportunity to meet with a Senegalese graffiti artist over Zoom this week as part of the Global Classroom Project.

FCPS Cares - Recognize Chantilly Employees!
|
The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for families, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees at Chantilly HS School. We love our staff members; let's tell them how we feel!
