Dear Fairhill Families:
One of the things that makes Fairhill such a remarkable place is all of our traditions. Students, teachers, and families alike look forward to our special end of year events, such as Field Day, the 6th grade Ellipse Run and our Fairhill Family Fun Day that wrap up the school year at Fairhill. Some of these events are for students only (the sixth grade student vs. staff kickball game) but many of these events are moments where the whole community can join together in partnership for our students. We highly encourage you to review the dates to remember below and mark your calendar for events that you can attend.

A note from the Library
All library books are due back to the library by Friday June 2nd. Because we have so many avid readers at Fairhill, we check-out books up until the very last day we are able! Due to this, we ask for your help in making sure your student knows his/her responsibilities in locating and returning library books in a timely fashion. We will be printing overdue notices weekly these next three weeks to help facilitate the searches. Thanks in advance for your help!

PTA Dinner Night Out
Order dinner from RASA in Mosaic to support the Fairhill PTA on May 16.
Looking for Small Donations
Are you doing any spring cleaning? As we prepare for the end-of-year Fairhill Carnival, the PTA would love your donations. We are looking for donations of trinkets and small items (i.e, slinkees, playdoh, stickers, leftover goody bag items) that can be used as prize offerings for the carnival games. We will take 1, 2, or 50 of these. If you are interested in donating, please drop off at the collection bin in the Fairhill office between now and Wednesday, May 24.

Virginia Department of Education K-12 Learning Acceleration Grants
To address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students' educational progress and well-being, Governor Glenn Youngkin announced in March 2023 the availability of $30 million in Learning Acceleration Grants to be used for qualifying education services.
