Dear Cub Run Families,
It's hard to believe that we've started the 4th and final quarter of the 22-23 school year! As we look to finish out this year of learning and social connections with one another, we are already looking ahead to next year. Classroom teachers have included this link in their weekly newsletters for parents and guardians to let us know your student's plans for next year. For those who will be returning to Cub Run, this is your chance to provide input for class placements for the 23-24 school year. If you haven't already done so, please take a minute to fill out the form. You know your children best, and your input is a valuable piece of our decision-making process when we group students into classes for next year.
Although we're in this last stretch of the school year, new things are sprouting up at Cub Run! Mrs. Huband, our upper Enhanced Autism classroom teacher, has lunched the Snack Shack this week. Her students will be coming around to each classroom on Mondays between 2-3p.m., and staff will have the option to buy a 5 ($5) or a 10 ($10) punch card. Each punch is worth a dollar towards a drink or a bag of popcorn that will be delivered by Mrs. Huband's class on Friday afternoons. Pictured below, 1st grade teacher Mrs. Stephanie McWhirt purchased her punch card from Mrs. Huband and her student!
Another exciting addition to Cub Run is the sensory pathways that our school counselor, Mrs. Buesing, and our school social worker, Ms. Marques, installed in Pods A and C last week. Mrs. Buesing and Ms. Barry, part-time school counselor, have been teaching our cubbies how to use the pathways to reenergize and regain focus for learning.
In addition to indoor learning, outdoor learning is sprouting thanks to Mrs. Jann Canestra and the mild spring weather!
 Have a wonderful week!
Warm Regards,
Natalie Lorenzi
Principal
Seeking Families' Input for the 23-24 School Year
It's already time to start thinking about class groupings for our cubbies for the 2023-24 school year! We value families' input in this process and ask that you fill out this form to let us know if your student will be returning to Cub Run next year. For those who are planning to return, there is an option on the form to tell us more about the type of learning environment that best serves your child, as well as any other considerations for us to keep in mind as we create class groupings for next year. We ask that families not make requests for specific teachers.
