April 22: MCT Fest
Fairfax Academy’s MCT Fest is an annual student-managed festival style event composed of all original songs, lyrics, and music by this year’s MCT level 1 & 2 students. MCT Fest 2023 includes 10+ acts that will encompass Rock, pop punk, Rap, EDM, Jazz, and more. This year, student performers will represent 10 different FCPS high schools (that all attend the Music Computer Technology program (MCT) at Fairfax Academy).
Saturday, April 22, 7 p.m. at the Sherwood Center. Tickets are $15. Online payments are through Etix, and in-person/live event tickets are paid in cash only. Donations are appreciated, and go right back into the Music Computer Technology program at Fairfax Academy. In-person tickets, are on a first-come-first-serve basis, as the number of guests present cannot exceed 300 people and MCT students are counted in this total number.
April 29: Fairfax Academy Fashion Careers Presents "Fashion In Motion"
Fairfax Academy’s Fashion Careers students are creating completely original looks, starting from concept/design, to patternmaking, sourcing materials, and advanced sewing/construction techniques. Fashion Careers I students will be creating one-of-a-kind upcycled looks thanks to a special partnership with Goodwill of Greater Washington. Saturday, April 29, 5 p.m. at the Sherwood Center. May 5, 6: Fairfax Academy Dance Presents "Art In Motion"
Fairfax Academy Dance presents: "Art in Motion" - dances inspired by famous works of art! May 5 at 7pm, May 6 at 1pm, at Fairfax HS. Tickets on sale starting Friday, April 21st! Purchase Tickets Here!
May 23: Academy Awards
Save the date for our annual Academy Awards - our end-of-year event featuring student work and performances, awards presented to students in each Fairfax Academy program, and more! May 23, 7 p.m., at Fairfax HS. This event is free of charge. Stay tuned for more details to come.
