 Hello Scottie Families!
It's been another great week at Bonnie Brae! Our students have loved the spring-like weather (summer-like yesterday!) and the opportunity to run around and play at recess in the beautiful sunshine. Today we had a fun day celebrating our February SCA Spirit Day - Dress Up/Dress Down day! It was a treat seeing so many Scotties dressed formally, or laid back and super casual.
This morning we had a great parent coffee, led by our Math Resource Teacher, Mrs. Cecilia Doan. Parents had the opportunity to practice their math fluency and learn how to support their children in their understanding of "math facts" and why they are an important part of math fluency. Here is the presentation for your reference. Thanks to Mrs. Doan for facilitating this discussion, and to all of the parents who were able to attend!
We also want to introduce our new School Based Technology Specialist (SBTS), Mrs. April Cascio, who's first day at Bonnie Brae was today! Mrs. Cascio comes to us with a wealth of experience as an SBTS, most recently at Greenbriar East Elementary School. Please reach out to Mrs. Cascio with any technology related questions at AGCascio@fcps.edu. Welcome to Bonnie Brae, Mrs. Cascio!
Have a great weekend, Scotties!
