Principals' Message

Dear Freedom Hill Families,

We hope you had a wonderful long weekend! We certainly appreciated the extra day of rest after a very busy beginning of February at Freedom Hill! So far this month we've enjoyed the Spelling Bee, Science Fair, and lots of learning each day. A shout-out to our AM News Team, who recently began using updated equipment as part of their daily broadcast to our school. Another kudos to our students who have begun to prepare our lovely school garden for the spring months (pictured above). They have harvested some tasty carrots and garlic!

As we look forward to March, on the radar are our annual Readathon, School Picture Day, the spring Book Fair, several assemblies, and more! But before March, don't forget about this Wednesday's Watch D.O.G.S. Kickoff Night at 6PM! Our Freedom Hill dads/male caregivers are invited to bring their students to Freedom Hill for a pizza dinner and to learn about our new Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) volunteer program. Planning to attend? Please complete this quick form so we have enough pizza!

Looking forward to a great week,

Nicholas Zapadka, Principal

Positivity Project: Humility

p2

This week, we are focusing on Humility. You do not seek the spotlight. You let your actions speak for themselves.

"Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less.”

                                                          ~Rick Warren

Questions you might enjoy talking about:

  • How is being honest with yourself related to humility?
  • Would you be a good teacher of humility?
  • Why is humility important to lead others and to make a positive impact?
