Message from the Principal

Dear Cub Run Families,

It's hard to believe that we have now passed the halfway mark of this school year! Today's snow brought lots of excitement for our Cubbies, some of whom had never experienced snowfall before.

While we always have something to celebrate here at Cub Run, and this week we are excited to celebrate Mrs. Carol Ann Timpson, our Special Education Department Chairperson, who was among several amazing staff members nominated as Cub Run's FCPS Outstanding Employee Award recipients. Those nomination packets went on for consideration at the pyramid level, which included nominees from each of the schools in the Westfield HS Pyramid. We are proud to announce that Mrs. Timpson won in the FCPS Outstanding Professional Employee for the Westfield Pyramid! We got to surprise her with this news in Mrs. Jensen's 2nd grade class, and everyone was thrilled! Congratulations, Mrs. Timpson!

CATimpson

Have a wonderful week!

Warmly,

Natalie Lorenzi

Principal

Flowers Volunteers

Every Friday, Traders Joe's in Reston donates flowers to Cub Run! These flowers not only go to our teachers and staff to brighten their day at the end of the week, but they are also donated to a local homeless shelter after they have been sorted and organized by our student Green Team. We are in need of volunteers to pick up flowers each Friday from Trader Joe's in Reston, VA. If you think you might be able to lend a hand, please look at the dates here and sign up for a date that you are available!
