Dear Fairhill Families,
Thank you to those of you who were able to come to BINGO night on Friday! What an amazing evening. A huge thanks to Fairhill PTA for putting together such a fun event which brought families together. Here at Fairhill we often talk about our three core values as a school: rigorous academics, relationships with each other, and connections to our community. We are fortunate to have families and a PTA that help us strive for excellence in our third core value - connections to our community.
As we wrap up the end of the second quarter this week, we are reflecting on our first two core values of rigorous academics and strong relationships. Our middle of year data is starting to trickle in and we have impressive evidence that our students are succeeding. Many have accomplished academic growth beyond the expectations of a half year. We also see new friendships blossoming and developing into strong relationships. Our students are demonstrating commitment and loyalty to friendships that will be cherished for years to come.
Monday brings a new semester and a fresh start for everyone in our building, staff and students alike. We will continue to push our students academically to higher levels of learning they might not have realized they were capable of. We will continue to support our students in navigating relationships with their peers and ensuring that every student has a network of friends and a trusted adult in the building.
As we wrap up we are reminded of a favorite quote from author Peter Senge, “the journey is the reward.” We have an amazing journey ahead of us. Enjoy our 2 hour early release tomorrow, leading up to the students’ four day weekend.
All our best,
Ted & Courtney
