National School Counseling Week

Join us in recognizing our amazing school counselors during National School Counseling Week!

The  MVHS College & Career Center is open!!

We are excited to share that we have hired a new College and Career Specialist. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Lauren MacGregor to the MVHS Family.

College and Career

Ms. MacGregor has served in numerous roles where she has been able to assist students with getting to their next step in life after high school. She most recently worked with Northern Virginia Community College where she served as an Admissions Outreach Coordinator. In her free time she loves to craft and get active. Lauren loves seeing students prosper and realize their fullest potential and is eager for this opportunity to serve the students at Mt. Vernon High School.

Ms. MacGregor has an anticipated start date of Mid-February.  In the meantime College and Career Specialists from across FCPS are volunteering in our center.  Students and parents are welcome to stop by or give us a call at 703-619-3118 to set up an appointment.  College & Career Specialists (CCS) will assist you with exploring colleges, and military options, finding scholarships, preparing you for taking ASVAB, along with answering any other questions.

See below for the CCSs who will be at MVHS this week
