Dear Families,
We continue to appreciate your partnership and collaboration to support your children at school. Another way to get involved is to work at Dogwood. We have a few positions open that would support students in the school. We have the following positions coming open:
- Special Education Instructional Assistant position
- Monitor position to support students across the school
- Cafeteria monitor
Please read the information below. There is a lot of information to include you in school decisions. Remember, you are their first teacher.

Broadway Night 2023 at South Lakes High School
It's time for Broadway Night!! Come and see your friends on stage at the South Lakes High School Little Theatre as they sing and dance to musical theater selections. They have been working very hard on putting together this production and can't wait for you to see it.

COVID-19 Compensatory Education Plan Meetings for Families of Students with Disabilities
Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to implementing a plan for COVID-19 compensatory education as part of its obligation to provide a free appropriate public education (FAPE) to students with disabilities. Please join us at an informational meeting for parents/guardians and other stakeholders:

Start the new year off with improved attendance. Daily attendance routines, created at home or in school, can reduce stress for students and families and create a sense of safety and security, especially after chaotic transitions.

Staying Healthy This Cold/Flu Season
Although the community level of COVID-19 in Fairfax County is currently low, cases of RSV, the flu, and other viruses are on the rise. It continues to be important to wash your hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes, monitor your health daily, and stay home if you are sick. For more tips, visit our Return to School website.
