Ho Ho Ho Saxons,

The holiday spirit has infiltrated Saxon Country. Cookies, crepes, cupcakes and other confectionary delights have been plentiful this week throughout the school. Our students are starting the holiday break on sugar overload. I know the upcoming days will be filled with plates overflowing with seasonal delights. Let’s indulge in the splendor of celebrating our amazing kids!

Congratulations to Langley dance on winning First Place Pom in competition!

Langley Golf’s state championship win was recognized by the FCPS School Board last evening. We are so proud of our team!

Thanks to our band, choir and orchestra programs for serenading Saxon Country with the sounds of the season. Their concerts were amazing and today’s Langley Links performances were outstanding. Orchestra had the audience moving and grooving to the sounds of Abba. Check out the selection.

A huge shoutout to the Madrigals who stopped by my office today to share a holiday selection with me.

It is truly our hope the two week break will provide everyone an opportunity to slow down and enjoy time off. Therefore, school offices will be closed December 19-January 2. Also, we want students to be able to enjoy the days away from school. To assist with this, no assignments should be due, or assessments given, until January 5.

I wish each of you a blessed holiday season. May each of you experience the light and love which abounds during this time. May 2023 bring you much happiness, prosperity and joy!

Fondly,
