Thanksgiving Break Math Challenge
Every fall we notice many changes in our environment – the weather, our clothing, activities. The Kings Park and Kings Glen teachers challenge you to create a pattern that highlights some of these changes! Below you will find some examples of how you might create a pattern that represents the fall. Be creative and stretch your brain as you create your fall pattern! Please send your fall pattern in to your classroom teacher by Friday, December 2.
Strategic Plan - Family Team Nominations
Developing the Strategic Plan will involve assembling multiple work teams that represent the perspectives of school staff, families, students, and community partners and organizations. FCPS is currently seeking nominations for families and caregivers who are interested in contributing to the strategic planning process as part of the Family Team (FT). This team will come together four times during the next several months. The families and caregivers of our current or prospective students can self-nominate or can be nominated using this form. Nominations are due by Tuesday, November 22.
Post-Thanksgiving COVID Diagnostic Testing
COVID diagnostic testing will be available for FCPS teachers, staff, and students at five locations across the county November 28-30 from 5 to 8 p.m. This testing is for those who are either experiencing COVID symptoms or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID. Appointments are not required, but registration must be completed before testing. Visit the COVID Testing webpage for more information.
Calendar Survey: Make Your Voice Heard!
FCPS parents/caregivers, employees, and students in grades 7-12 were emailed an invitation to take the 2023-24 School Year Calendar Survey. This survey is part of an annual process to gather input from the community to help develop the school year calendar for the following year. Please complete the survey by Thursday, December 1 and make your voice heard! For more information or help filling out the survey, please visit our website.

PTA General Membership Meeting

Wednesday, December 7, 5-9 PM
Enjoy a great family dinner while raising money for the KP/KG PTA! Must mention this flier. If any staff or parents order catering the entire week of December 5th, our school will get 10% of the check total!

All Kings Park and Kings Glen staff have been given the option to fill out a “Staff Tastes & Tidbits” form with information such as favorite stores and restaurants, classroom needs/wants, favorite authors and more. Staff responses can be viewed here.
Event Lead/Captain Sign-Up
We are still looking for people to volunteer for various positions for the 2022-23 school year, and also have positions for next school year that require advance planning. Please consider stepping up to make these initiatives happen. More information here.
