Reminder: Fall Scholastic Book Fair

November 11-18

Don’t forget that the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the KGES Library through Friday, November 18!  There is also an online option; more information is in the Gator Byte below.  All purchases benefit our school.  Please feel free to contact Carolyn Dean if you have any questions.

Kings Jesters Makes a Comeback!

Interest Form Due Friday, November 18

The afterschool performing club will resume this year and we need your input to decide exactly what that will look like. Parents, please fill out this survey to let us know the level of interest in this program returning and what support you may want to offer. Students can fill out this form to let us know their interest as well!

Opportunity for All Strings Students at Lake Braddock

The yearbook cover contest has started at Kings Glen! This year’s theme is “Together We Are G.A.T.O.R.” Please see the flier for more details. The contest ends November 18th. Please turn in all entries to Mrs. Fitzgerald, Art Teacher.  (View Instructions)


Winter Concerts

Winter Concert Time

Kings Glen is happy and excited to be having in person Winter Concerts this year!  Here is the schedule for the concerts and rehearsals.  Please make sure every participating Band and Strings student brings their instrument and music to school on these days!

Friday, December 9:

  • 6th Grade Advanced Band Rehearsal
  • 5th/6th Returning Strings Rehearsal

Tuesday, December 13:

  • 6th Grade Advanced Band Rehearsal
  • 5th/6th Grade Full Chorus Rehearsal
  • 5th/6th Grade Returning Strings Rehearsal

Wednesday, December 14:

  • Chorus/Strings Daytime School Assembly (10:15-11:00 AM)
  • Chorus/Strings Evening Concert (6:30 PM - Call Time 6:00 PM)

Thursday December 15:

  • Band School Daytime School Assembly (10:00-10:30 AM)
  • Band Evening Concert (6:30 PM - Call Time 6:00 PM)

FREE Virtual Tiny Chefs Event

Friday, November 18

Our FREE virtual Tiny Chefs event is coming up THIS Friday, November 18th at 5:30 pm.  Your tiny chef(s) will learn to make homemade pizza roll-ups.  A flier with more information is coming home, and you can find more information on our website.

Event Lead/Captain Sign-Up

We are still looking for people to volunteer for various positions for the 2022-23 school year, and also have positions for next school year that require advance planning.  Please consider stepping up to make these initiatives happen.  (More Information)
