Starting on Wednesday, November 9th - we will be making a slight adjustment to our arrival procedures. In order to accommodate practice time and space for our spring musical, all students, regardless of grade-level, will be reporting to the gym in the morning upon arrival. Our musical participants will be using the cafeteria for play practice.
This change to arrival procedures will be in place for a while and when it is time for Kinder-2nd grade students to report back to the cafeteria in the morning, we will communciate that out to our staff and parent community.
Students can continue to come to school by bus, as a walker through Door #11, or through Kiss n Ride. Starting on Wednesday, November 9th - all students upon arrival, will report to the gym until it is time to go to their classrooms to start the school day.

Thanksgiving Luncheon - Thursday, Nov. 17
Forestville's Thanksgiving Luncheon will take place on Thursday, November 17th. This is the perfect kickoff to the holiday season and a wonderful way to gather together as a FES community. Families are invited to join their students for lunch in the cafeteria.
Note: The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) department has informed us that due to supply chain issues families will not be able to purchase Thanksgiving lunch from the cafeteria. Forestville students are the only attendees able to purchase cafeteria food. Families are welcome to bring outside food to enjoy with your family.

FLE Parent Preview Time
You are invited to attend an opportunity to preview the Family Life Education media and lessons and to talk with school staff about the program. The meeting will be held on Monday, November 21st from 9:15a.m.- 10:15 a.m. at Great Falls Elementary School in the school library. All program materials and media for all grade levels will be available for your review at this time. Additional information on the curricula, as well as FLE Opt Out Forms are available on the Family Life Education (FLE) page on the FCPS website.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is overflowing. We love sending items back home. Items are on display in the main hallway. If you child is missing something please have them check the racks!

PTA Fun Run
Registration is now open for our Forestville PTA Fun Run! Our goal is to raise $30,000 for School Curriculum enhancement, teacher grants, & social events for the community (i.e. books & technology, school dance, field trips, assemblies, teacher grants).
