Principal's Message

Dear Lake Anne Family,

We enjoyed a full week of learning this week and it was great to see so many of our students enjoying Book Character Day today!

Teachers have connected with many families through conferences and we hope to see many more in the coming weeks! Additionally, we look forward to hosting families on November 1st for our AAP Parent Information Night. This session will focus on the AAP Application process.

As a reminder, Monday, October 31, is a teacher workday. We hope that you all enjoy this extra long weekend!

Thank you!

Mrs. Stewart                           Dr. Rogers

Principal                                  Assistant Principal

Please join us on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 9:30 AM for our volunteer orientation!

Learn about all the opportunities to volunteer at Lake Anne throughout the school year!

Tardies

We have noticed an increase in the number of tardy students. As a reminder, instruction begins promptly at 8:50 AM. Students may start entering the building as early as 8:30 AM so that they have plenty of time to get breakfast and get settled in class. The morning news and announcements are on in every classroom at 8:50 AM to begin the day.

Thank you for doing your part to ensure students are in their classrooms by 8:50 AM.

Federal Impact Aid

Beginning on October 18, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.
Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by November 4. All results are confidential.

Parent Resource Center Office Hours

The FCPS Parent Resource Center (PRC) provides resources, materials, and educational opportunities for families, schools, and our community.  As a way to broaden our supports for schools, the staff of the PRC has established monthly office hours that will be available via Zoom.  Office hours will be the first Tuesday of every month from 10-11:00 AM beginning November 1, 2022.  PRC Staff will be available to answer questions, provide information, and offer supports to schools.  Please join us at this link starting on November 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
