Important Update on Outside Food for Lunch A new Dogwood policy prohibits deliveries from food establishments nor can we allow students to have food delivered from an outside food establishment by parents or friends. Please remember to make lunch arrangements prior to the beginning of the school day. For questions please call the office at 703-262-3100.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) posted the results of its 2021-22 Family Engagement Survey, which includes information specific to Dogwood Elementary School. 

We are proud that families at Dogwood reported: 

• 96 percent feel "this school welcomes families of different backgrounds and cultures."
• 95 percent feel "information provided to me by my child's school is easy to understand."
• 94 percent feel "my child feels safe at school."
• 92 percent feel "our school recognizes and respects families’ cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity."
• 90 percent feel "school leaders inspire families to be active participants in the school community.                                                                                     Learn more and view the Dogwood Family Engagement Survey results.

A Halloween celebration for Dogwood students and families! When: Thursday, October 27, 2022  Time: 4:30 - 5:30 PM Where: Dogwood Elementary parking lot Dogwood Elementary students are invited to wear costumes and trick or treat while viewing decorated cars in the school parking lot.  We are excited to continue this tradition at Dogwood.  Please make sure your costume is school appropriate.  Costumes cannot be worn during the school day.  All students must be accompanied by an adult.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at Dogwood.
