Principal's Message

Dear Lake Anne Family,

We want to share our most sincere thanks for all of the kindness, tokens of appreciation, and surprises throughout the week! You all have made a huge SPLASH in our week! We are so grateful to work in a community that truly celebrates and supports one another. As we reflected on the week, your kindness and appreciation helped us to feel ENERGIZED as we move forward in the work of supporting our staff, students, and community. Thank you again, what an amazing school community! ❤️

We hope that many of you will join us this evening to represent Lake Anne as the "loudest & proudest" elementary school in the South Lakes Pyramid. We will arrive to South Lakes around 4:45 to join the parade train. Wear your dolphin gear! 🐬

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Stewart                           Dr. Rogers

Principal                                  Assistant Principal

Volunteer Orientation

b

Please join us on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 9:30 AM for our volunteer orientation!

Learn about all the opportunities to volunteer at Lake Anne throughout the school year!

Tardies

We have noticed an increase in the number of tardy students. As a reminder, instruction begins promptly at 8:50 AM. Students may start entering the building as early as 8:30 AM so that they have plenty of time to get breakfast and get settled in class. The morning news and announcements are on in every classroom at 8:50 AM to begin the day.

Thank you for doing your part to ensure students are in their classrooms by 8:50 AM.

Federal Impact Aid

Beginning on October 18, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.
Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by November 4. All results are confidential.

Dyslexia Awareness Month

In recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month, the Virginia Department of Education is offering an informational webinar designed for Virginia teachers, administrators, and parents. Presenters are experts in the fields of dyslexia and reading.
