Storybook Character Day

We invite students and staff to join us in Storybook Character Day.  Students are welcome to dress up or create a costume as a character from a book on Friday, October 28th.  Students should highlight the book from which they are dressing up!  Any costumes/dress up must follow school guidelines, which include no masks or weapons of any kind.

Specialist Spotlight

Hello Families!  This is your librarian, Mrs. Watson!  It’s October, and you know what that means…Book Fair is coming!  Click here to go to the book fair website.  Our book fair will be held from Friday, October 21st to Friday, October 28th in the library.  I am always on the lookout for volunteers to help with this!  Click here to go to a volunteer sign up sheet.  We will be setting up the fair on Thursday, October 20th from 11:30 to 1:30 and I could definitely use help with that!  Friday, October 21st will be a preview day for the students to browse and make a wish list.  Kids will be able to shop from Tuesday, October 25th to Friday, October 28th.  I am always happy to have volunteers help kids find books and keep the book fair tidy during shopping times!   The book fair will stay open after school on Tuesday and Wednesday until 5:30 for family shopping.  The book fair will also be open after school and will stay open during Bingoween on Thursday, October 27th until 8 p.m. One last thing - this year we have been told we have to charge tax.  When you send in money for books, please make sure you have enough to cover the tax.  I hope to see you at the book fair!  Happy reading!
