Work Out Wednesday
Good Morning Everyone!! Great news….. Workout Wednesday are back!!!
To promote movement and wellness we have Workout Wednesday’s the 2nd Wednesday of the month. The first one is tomorrow, October 12th!!
On these days Staff and student can wear workout wear or a team jersey. We usually share some movement activities to do in the classroom.
And this year it could be a good time to incorporate Yoga for the Classroom.

Walk and Bike to School Day Wednesday October 12
Put on the walking shoes, get the bikes/helmets ready Panthers! We encourage students/families to walk to walk/roll to school. Please be sure to wear a helmet if your are riding your bike.
Why Walk, Bike or Roll?
It’s fun! Remember the thrill of riding a bike for the first time or walking or rolling to school on the first day? There’s a feeling of joy and independence—a sense of adventure—that doesn’t fade. Of course, there are many other benefits to walking, biking or rolling to school, too.

Advanced Academic Placement Level IV Referral Information Session
Please join us Thursday, October 13 at 6:30 pm via zoom to learn more about the level IV referral process. The link for the session will come out the day of via eNotify.
The deadline for level IV referral is December 15, 2022.
October 13, 2022, 6:30-7:30 p.m. This hybrid event will be held in the 1st floor cafe at the FCPS Gatehouse Administration Center, 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church VA 22042. Free parking is available in the underground garage. Language interpretation will be provided, as available, as well as childcare and light refreshments. If you can attend, either in-person or virtually, please register here to attend.
We are excited to be celebrating the identities that make up our Bush Hill Community. Join us on Thursday, October 20th from 5:30 – 7:30 for an evening of food, fun, and connections. Families are encouraged to wear clothing that represent them. We are still looking for volunteers who are able to bring a favorite family dish for our community to sample that evening. Restaurant Fundraiser at Hangry Burger
Join fellow Panther families on October 26th for delicious food from Hangry Burger in Springfield (6699G Frontier Dr.). 20% of sales for the entire day will benefit the Bush Hill Elementary PTA. Hangry Burger is a locally owned small business with more than just burgers; vegetarian, gluten free, and halal options abound! Don't get hungry, get Hangry! We hope to see you there.
Dear Bush Hill Parents and Veterans,
Bush Hill Elementary School will be hosting a special breakfast to honor the Veterans in our community. We would love to have as many Veterans as possible at our informal morning gathering, so that they may be honored and recognized for their valued service to our country.

- Reception: hosted by Bush Hill ES staff in the school cafeteria
