Principal Message

Dear Marshall Road Families,

All staff members at MRES and the entire Madison Pyramid are wearing their red ONE campaign t-shirts today as we continue to celebrate kindness at school, at home and in the community.  This month we will focus on the ripple effect of kindness.  When one person chooses to be kind it becomes contagious.  Please continue to have discussions with your children about specific ways to begin the chain of kindness.  “Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us everyday.”  - Sally Kock

Once again, we kindly remind you to follow all arrival and dismissal procedures.  If you are making changes in your child’s dismissal please let the office know by emailing them at MarshallRoadElem.Attendance@fcps.edu by noon.

Please DO NOT park in any of the cul de sacs on Marshall Road during dismissal.  The cars pulling in and out are causing a dangerous situation for our walkers.  Please put safety first.

We will have our first bus evacuation drill on Thursday morning.  When the students arrive at school, they will leave their belongings on the bus and then they will evacuate from the back of the bus.  Once all students have evacuated safely, they will return to the bus to retrieve their backpacks.  MRES staff and bus drivers will assist students throughout the drill.

Please remember that there will be no school this Wednesday, October 5th.

Have a great week!

Peace.

Jennifer Heiges, Matt Chapman and Sue Kirby
