What is Voices of Now?
Voices of Now is an acting, writing, devising program for young artists provided by Arena Stage, D.C.’s oldest, largest producing theater. Voices of Now artists learn the tools of theater performance, such as movement, vocal expression and collaboration, by taking a series of workshops in the fall. Participants who attend a full series are eligible to audition for the exclusive Voices of Now Luther Jackson Middle School Ensemble, which meets from January through May at Luther Jackson Middle School. Ensemble members work with professional actors and directors to study acting and to write an original play performed at Arena Stage.
This program is for EVERYBODY – you do NOT have to be in a theatre class. Each workshop is just 4 sessions so it is not huge time commitment. So grab some friends and come out to have some fun! Questions- see Ms. Stacey in room 419 and for an application!

October Restaurant Night Fundraiser: Our next restaurant night sponsor is Pupatella at Mosaic District. They will donate to our school a percentage of the sales for those who mention Luther Jackson MS all day (11:30am-9:00pm) on Wednesday, October 12th.
