A message from Principal, Amy Miller:
Dear Kilmer Families,
It was wonderful seeing many families at our Community Night this past Wednesday. We are excited for all of our afterschool programs and clubs to begin next week. If you have any questions in regard to afterschool please reach out to our After School Specialist Kim Kardelis (kckardelis@fcps.edu ).
This past week all of our seventh grade students went to Burke Lake for their Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE). The weather was absolutely perfect for this field trip. On this field trip students collected and classified various organisms from Burke Lake. They took what they learned in the classroom about water quality and tested Burke Lake to see if it is a healthy ecosystem. They also participated in an interactive station on biodiversity. We appreciate our parent chaperones who help make this experience a success!
Monday, September 26 is a student holiday. We hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.
Sincerely,
Amy Miller, Principal
