Remember... any students planning to stay with a teacher next week MUST make an appointment with that teacher. Don't just sign up on the after school form!
Sign-up and Sign In
Students wising to participate in LJ After Hours are required to sign up using a google form that gets posted weekly. Each Friday, the form is updated for the next week, and I send out a reminder to all students via the "All School" schoology course. Once students are here each day, we require them to submit an attendance form that can be found on the after school website. It takes about 45 seconds to submit the form, and this is the system we use to keep track of which students are in the building. Instructional videos showing how to access and submit both of these forms can be found on the main page of the LJ After Hours website.
LJ After Hours Daily Schedule

What is Voices of Now?
Voices of Now is a performance, writing, and devising theater program for young artists provided by Arena Stage, D.C.’s oldest, largest producing theater. Voices of Now artists learn the tools of theater performance, such as movement, vocal expression, and collaboration, by taking a series of four workshops in the Fall. Participants who attend all four workshops are eligible to audition for the prestigious Voices of Now Luther Jackson Middle School Ensemble, which meets from February through May at Arena Stage in SW, DC. Ensemble members work with professional actors and directors to study performance and to write an original play performed at Arena Stage at the Voices of Now Festival 2023.
When is Voices of Now?
- Each Voices of Now Workshop Series is four after-school workshops at Luther Jackson Middle School.
- The Voices of Now Luther Jackson Middle School Ensemble will meet twice a week after-school (schedule TBA) from February – May, 2023 at Luther Jackson MS.
