Dear Haycock Families,
It's hard to believe we just finished our fourth week of school! We had fun wearing PJs to school on Thursday while at the same time honoring those who face and fight childhood cancer. PJs are their daily outfit.
This week, September 19-23 is Bus Driver Appreciation Week. Our bus drivers work hard every day. Please consider having your child make and deliver a thank you card to their bus driver sometime this week.
This month is also Hispanic Heritage Month. We are featuring information on our daily news show that showcases Hispanic musicians, mathematicians, scientists, authors, and artists and their contributions to our world and society. We will feature displays throughout the building of their work. Currently, we have works by Hispanic artists posted outside the office so students can see them as they come and go from lunch every day.
Attendance matters, and we want your child at school with us every day. However, we ask that you keep your student home if they are experiencing symptoms or running a fever. For specific information about when to keep your child home from school please see this site.
See information below about the AAP Parent Information Night this Thursday, September 22. This session will be in person in the cafeteria. Ms. Laura Chami, our AART, and Ms. Kirsten Maloney from the AAP office will be leading the session.
With appreciation for your partnership,
Dr. Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu
Ms. Heather Boyd, AP HABoyd@fcps.edu
Ms. Jody Delaney, AP jmdelaney@fcps.edu

- Explore ways to continue conversations about SEL at home
