Standards Based Grading

"Spill the Tea with Mr. E"

The first few weeks in Science 8 have been awesome!  We have been doing some truly fun activities and can’t wait for you to understand how we have translated your student’s progress to the grade book!  This year in SIS Science 8 teachers are using a Standards Based Grading system, which not only helps students demonstrate their learning, but also encourages them to advocate for themselves and communicate with their teacher.

Are you interested in communicating about Standards Based Grading?  Do you want to know more about Standards Based Grading practices?  Join us on Sept 28, from 11:00-11:30, in the Liberty Middle School Library to “Spill the Tea with Mr. E,” and the Science 8 teachers about Standards Based Grading.

We do appreciate your RSVP to accommodate and provide refreshments for everyone.  Please click HERE and complete the short Google Form to indicate that you will be attending.   Look forward to seeing you all!

Bus Notes

If your student is interested in riding the bus home with a friend, no problem! We need a note from each parent, one for the student riding the alternate bus and one from the other parent approving another student to come to their house after school. Each note needs to be brought to the main office at the beginning of the school day and a bus pass will be available for the student riding the alternate bus at the end of the school day.

Starting Monday October 4, 2022, bus notes will no longer be accepted by email. We need a note bought to the main office by each student at the beginning of the day.

Thank you!
