Message from the Principal

The opening of the school year has been very positive with great energy and excitement.  We had a wonderful time seeing many of our families at both the Wildcat Welcome and Back to School Night.  It is invigorating to have an increased sense of school community following the challenging pandemic years.  We will continue to partner with families to ensure that everyone feels connected, supported, and welcomed as part of our Wildcat family.  We look forward to seeing you at our activities throughout the fall!

Late Buses to begin on Monday, 9/12

There will be two late buses per week on Mondays and Thursdays for students who are staying after school for additional help with teachers or attending clubs or activities.  Late buses will begin on Monday, 9/12 and Thursday, 9/15. The student will need a bus pass from the sponsor that they are staying after school with in order to ride the bus. There are only a limited number of late buses, so be sure your student is aware that it  will be a different bus number then their normal bus route.  Bus schedules will be posted and available in the main office. Late buses usually depart the school around 4:40.

Pictures for grades 9 - 11 will take place on Sept 29 & 30 through PE and English 11 classes.  Be ready to smile for the camera!

Community Dialogue with Dr. Reid

Please save the date for a very special event! Dr. Michelle Reid, FCPS superintendent, will host a Community Conversation at CVHS on Oct 18, 6:30-7:30 p.m. This event will be a unique opportunity to help Dr. Reid get to know our school community and learn more about her vision for our district.   This evening aligns with the Oct PTSA meeting date, and the PSTA encourages all parents to attend.  Here is the link to register.
