Dear Wakefield Forest Families,
Thank you for attending our Back to School Night event this week. Mrs. Williams and I were excited to have so many families join our session. We will continue to offer opportunities to connect with us and ask questions. We are following up on the issues addressed in that session.
Volunteer Fairfax will be facilitating VolunteerFest 2022, a countywide day of service, on September 17. This is a great opportunity for students and families who want to engage with local nonprofits and volunteer. The event will officially kick-off on September 11, Patriot’s Day, with Volunteer Fairfax sharing donation needs and upcoming volunteer opportunities. More information about VolunteerFest 2022 can be found at Volunteer Fairfax’s website. Additional 9/11 Day of Service information can be found at 911Day.org.
We appreciate your on going support. We hope you have a lovely weekend.

Mrs. McNamara is getting ready for the vision and hearing screening process. In order to make this a smooth process she needs a few volunteers. If you are interested and available during the school day, please email her at samcnamara@fcps.edu.
If you are looking for the paperwork to opt your child grades 3-6 from bringing the laptop back and forth, it can be found at this link. Despite what the form says, we will continue to provide access to a laptop at school and a conference with the principal is not required. Please send the form in to your child's teacher.
