Dear Lake Anne Family,
This week at Lake Anne students continued to practice routines, get to know each other, and dive into many exciting learning opportunities. We have been excited to continue welcoming our therapy dogs and students have enjoyed spending time with them in their classrooms!
We were also very excited to welcome our new Superintended, Dr. Michelle Reid, for a visit to Lake Anne. Dr. Reid, school board member Melanie Meren, and District Supervisor Walter Alcorn had an opportunity to delve into the Lake Anne community during arrival. They were also excited to see many classrooms engaging in morning meeting in English & Spanish, had many conversations with students, and learned that there are many budding mathematicians here at Lake Anne!
This was a proud moment for Lake Anne as we were able to share the tremendous efforts of our teachers & staff, and experience the joy of learning our students carry with them each day!

Dr. Michelle Reid, FCPS superintendent, will host a Community Conversation at South Lakes High School on 9/7/2022, 6:30-7:30 p.m. This event will be a unique opportunity to help Dr. Reid get to know our school community and learn more about her vision for our district. - COVID-19 diagnostic testing is available at no cost for all currently enrolled FCPS students on select dates throughout the year when transmission may be highest. Diagnostic testing is provided at designated times and locations for those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
Testing will be available September 6-8 and 12-14. Visit the testing website for information on locations and how to register for an appointment.
Fairfax County Public Schools provides access to digital resources to maximize learning opportunities and protect student privacy. Each FCPS digital resource has had an instructional and technical review. Information about the educational technology tools approved for use within FCPS can be found in the online Digital Ecosystem Library.
Some FCPS-approved resources require parental consent.
This permission will expire at the end of this school year, and can be revoked at any time by contacting the school. If you have questions about any of the digital resources listed below, please contact your child’s school.
