Kings Park Special Edition

advice

Thank you for a wonderful first full week of school. Take a peek at the student advice left by a current 3rd grader.

"Be you, be kind, and have confidence in yourself. Remember that you are amazing, smart and wonderful, because you are all those things! You are going to have a blast in 2nd grade. You are going to learn wonderful things."

This advice rings true for all our students and serves as a great reminder for students, families and staff alike. 2022-2023 is going to be a great year!

Arrival/Dismissal Safety Reminders

Beginning Monday we ask for caregivers to say their goodbyes at the designated building entrance. Should you arrive at school after 8:40am, please come to door 1 to sign your student in. For our walker families, please refrain from walking and crossing via the bus loop. We ask that you use the sidewalk closest to the playground and staff parking. For those families who wish to park and walk their students, we kindly ask you to park on Clydesdale to eliminate the need for dangerous U turns in the bus loop area.

Superintendent Community Conversation, Monday, Aug 29th 6:30pm

Dr. Michelle Reid, FCPS superintendent, will host a Community Conversation at Lake Braddock on Monday, August 29th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Language interpretation will be provided, as available, as well as child care and light refreshments. If you plan to attend, please register here

Sincerely,

Dotty Lin
