September
Hello Brookfield Families,
Wow! What an impressive first week of school. We had a great first week and saw progress every day as children remembered how to find their classrooms, greeted new friends by name, and began to share stories that made us smile.
We are grateful to our amazing community for all the ways you’ve shown support this week. Thank you to everyone who donated delicious breakfast items for the PTA Teacher Breakfast. It was a lovely way to be welcomed back from summer! Another thanks to the volunteers who spent time cleaning up our outdoor classrooms and courtyards. They look amazing!
Sincerely,
Ellen Mukai, Principal
Jennifer Hutchison, Assistant Principal
Andrew Orenstein, Assistant Principal

If Your Child Will Be Absent
Students who come to school on time are more likely to do well in school. FCPS asks families to make sure their children are in school unless they have an excused absence due to illness, medical appointments, religious obligations, or a death in the family. Parents must give the school a written explanation for any absence or late arrival. You may submit this absence in either English or Spanish.
To report an absence or late arrival:
