We are a family.
We are capable.
We are caring.
We all belong!
The first day of school was a great success!
There is no school on Friday, September 2 in honor of the Labor Day weekend. There is also no school on Monday, September 5th. All staff and students are on holiday. School resumes on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
This year we have a shortage of donated pencil boxes, which are best for our younger learners. If you are willing to donate pencil boxes for students who might need them, they would be happily accepted in the Bren Mar Park front office. Contact Sandra Chetelat, Family Liaison, with any questions.
There are a variety of forms for families to review, sign and return to the school at the beginning of the year. Please help us out by ensuring these are returned to your child's classroom teacher as soon as possible!

For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year.
Students approved for Free and Reduced-Price Meals may qualify for additional benefits such as waived or reduced fees for instruments, uniforms, field trips, FCPS class fees, and Parktakes classes.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is always looking for people to volunteer in a variety of fun ways! Please email pta.bmp@gmail.com for information.
The first Thursday of every month, Bren Mar Park hosts a Family Market for community members in need. We need volunteers to help set up between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. and to help check in and help families between 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. This is also a great opportunity for high schoolers to earn volunteer service hours! Contact Sandra Chetelat if interested.
