First PTA Meeting
Our first general body meeting is set for 9/15 at 6:30PM in-person (location TBD) with a virtual option at gbepta.org/virtual.
Campus Survival Kit School Supplies Update

The company is set to deliver the supplies to campus this weekend. The PTA board will receive, organize, and deliver the kits to their respective classrooms soon after. Rest assured that all will be ready come Monday. |
Reception
We'll be hosting a small welcome reception on Monday (8/22) at 930AM at one of the trailers by Door 3. Swing by after drop-off for a chance to meet and commiserate with other fellow parents/caregivers of Kindergarteners.
Spirit Wear Update
Spirit wear is not currently available on our website. We apologize for the confusion and misinformation. The gear we’ve had for sale at our tables this summer is from previous years and is therefore limited in sizes & styles. We’ve taken note of your requests for better variety in styles, items, and sizing and will be sure that our next order reflects all of that.

You can officially join on our website (https://gbe.memberhub.com/store) and follow us on Facebook via this link (https://www.facebook.com/gbepta). Note that Membership does NOT mean you have to volunteer if you don’t want to. Your membership dues go towards programming that supports GBE students, staff, and overall community. Examples include, Staff Welcome Back breakfast, carnivals/block parties, and Teacher Appreciation Week, just to name a few. We aim to be more transparent with the use of our funds this year so it all makes more sense (stay tuned for more on that down the road).

The first day of school is right around the corner! Please remember that we need ALL parents to create a PickUp Patrol account this year. This is how you will communicate afterschool transportation changes, early releases, late arrivals and absences to the office and your child’s teacher. If you have not registered you will need to click on the link in the email from PickUp patrol that is unique to you. You should have received this email earlier today. Once you’ve registered, set your students default plan for dismissal. If you already have an account, please take the time to confirm your students default plan so we know how they are getting home on the first day of school.
If you are a Kiss and Rider, please make sure you come to the office ASAP to pick up your child’s dismissal number car hang tag.

JOIN GBE BAND AND STRINGS!!
All 4th-6th grade students at Greenbriar East are eligible and strongly encouraged to join our instrumental music programs! Band and Strings students will have a one-hour class each week as part of the specials block. No previous musical experience is required!

Registration and information links are below! All Band/Strings students are asked to sign up by Monday, August 29th. Band & Strings classes are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 6th.
*NOTE: If your child already signed up for Band or Strings during the Spring last year, they DO NOT need to register again*
