Dear Lake Anne Family,
We enjoyed meeting and greeting all of our family members at our annual Open House. It was so good to connect with everyone after a summer of relaxation, rejuvenation, and preparation. All of the staff members at Lake Anne have been eagerly preparing for the arrival of your children. Our custodial team, office assistants, cafeteria team, and instructional staff members worked tirelessly to ensure that your children will have an exceptional learning experience this year. We look forward to seeing you all on the first day of school, Monday, August 22, 2022. Be mindful that the doors of Lake Anne Elementary open at 8:30 a.m. for students to enter. Instruction for all students begins at 8:50 a.m.
You are welcome to walk your child to class on the first day of school. The first day of school is a special time for all families at all grade levels. Lake Anne staff will line our hallways to support your dolphins as they begin the school year to ensure that they get to their classrooms. We ask that all families say their goodbyes prior to the 8:50 a.m. bell signaling the beginning of our instructional day.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year of partnering with you for student success.
Happy New Year!
Mrs. Stewart Dr. Rogers
Principal Assistant Principal

Fairfax County Public Schools provides access to digital resources to maximize learning opportunities and protect student privacy. Each FCPS digital resource has had an instructional and technical review. Information about the educational technology tools approved for use within FCPS can be found in the online Digital Ecosystem Library.
Some FCPS-approved resources require parental consent.
This permission will expire at the end of this school year, and can be revoked at any time by contacting the school. If you have questions about any of the digital resources listed below, please contact your child’s school.
Please use this form to provide parental consent for each student in your family
- Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to ensuring that the climate in all FCPS facilities is safe and secure. In support of this goal, FCPS provides weCare@school (weCare), an emergency care information system, available to FCPS parents and guardians who have registered for their own Parent account.
weCare helps manage emergency medical information by enabling parents to go online to enter and update their children’s medical data at their convenience. Contact information provided automatically enrolls parents to receive eNotify communications from the district and their child’s school. eNotify is the communications tool for FCPS emergency, transportation, attendance, weather closings and delays, and essential outreach messages. Messages are sent via email and text messages. Occasional phone messages are sent as well
Get more information about updating your emergency care information.
You may have heard that the Fairfax County School Board approved a Trust Policy that solidifies our commitment to foster a caring culture and strives to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all students and families.
This policy aligns with Fairfax County’s Public Trust and Confidentiality Policy to ensure that FCPS students and families can access FCPS benefits and services without fear that information will be disclosed, directly or indirectly, to federal immigration officials.
The school division is already performing much of the work referenced in the Trust Policy. The policy, along with the upcoming regulation, will serve to solidify our efforts, so all FCPS staff, students, and families have a common understanding of the policy.
Every FCPS employee plays an important part in carrying out the Trust Policy and will demonstrate cultural responsiveness in supporting families, students, and other staff by protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information (PII) of students and families. Employees will follow a clear, standardized process for requesting, accessing, or disclosing prohibited personal information as outlined in FCPS Regulations 2202 and 4220.
Additional information is available in multiple languages on FCPS’ Trust Policy webpage. Please email FCPS’ Office of Professional Learning and Equity, OPLFE@fcps.edu, with questions about the policy.
