Are you or somebody you know interested in working as a substitute with FCPS? FCPS is seeking individuals to serve as substitute teachers, instructional assistants, public health training assistants, and public health attendants! You will find information about the application process here. You can also attend one of our Wednesday information sessions to learn more about the application and hiring process.  Immunization Requirements
As we begin to look ahead to the 2022-23 school year, please know that some students may need to have updated immunizations to attend school click for immunization info . We encourage you to check with your healthcare provider to make sure your child is up to date on required immunizations for the 2022-23 school year as soon as possible. Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications Due This Summer
For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year.
Interested families are encouraged to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the first day of the 22-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer and accessible via the FCPS homepage.
Students approved for Free and Reduced-Price Meals may qualify for additional benefits such as waived or reduced fees for instruments, uniforms, field trips, FCPS class fees, and Parktakes classes.
Summer Meal Service
No-cost summer meals will be served at all FCPS summer school locations this year. Please visit the meals for students webpage for updated information during the summer.

Thomas Jefferson KAST club offering fun summer camp
VA KAST is hosting a fun and interactive summer camp this August! Each session will be two hours long and will include fun experiments such as slime, build your own catapult, and fruit powered lights! You can sign up for each day individually! The camp spans from August 8th to 12th and the cost is $4 for each day your child attends.

GrandInvolve: Changing the World, One Child at a Time
Would you like to have a unique and interesting volunteer experience while making a difference in a school, classroom, family, or in one child’s life? Join in at GrandInvolve, a nonprofit program that facilitates volunteer opportunities in 25 of Fairfax County’s Title I Elementary Schools!
GrandInvolve is currently recruiting adult volunteers who are interested to provide classroom assistance with math, reading, and other simple educational tasks that the teacher requests. For a rewarding experience with flexible hours and various responsibilities, consider volunteering with GrandInvolve for this coming school year.
