Free and Reduced Meals: Change for Next Year

For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. However, the extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year.

Families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for SY 22-23.

The online application will be available later this summer.  Learn more about the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program online.

This summer, free meals are still available to all children under 18.

Summer meal kits will be offered on Tuesdays at several sites through August 9. Meal kits contain seven days of breakfast and lunch items packed in bulk. All meals are available at no-cost to FCPS students and children 18 years of age and under. Visit our Meals for Students website for more details on pick up locations and times.

CWES Summer Reading Program: Tic Tac Toe on the Go!

Your child should have received a copy of the "Tic, Tac, Toe on the Go" board in their final Tuesday folder. You can download another copy here

Students are encouraged to keep their reading skills sharp this summer at home and on the go. Get Tic Tac Toe with three in a row across, down or diagonally, or complete every activity for a blackout!

Return your Tic, Tac, Toe board to Canterbury Woods Elementary by September 9, 2022 to get a prize.
