MCJROTC cadets volunteered at the Virginia Theological Seminary

Major Pride!

On Sunday, MCJROTC cadets volunteered at the Virginia Theological Seminary and helped to pack 10,000 meals to provide food aid for the needy which include refugees, disaster victims, and other vulnerable populations. Each meal contained rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a flavoring mix that includes 21 essential vitamins and minerals. Cadets did an awesome job, and they really enjoyed the experience of helping others.  Also, the folks at VTS were extremely impressed with the cadets!

Congratulations to the following students who received onsite admissions acceptances from York College of Pennsylvania, Randolph College, Trinity Washington University and Shepherd University: Kayle Orellana Martinez, Jayden Wiredu, Emile Rose Taduran, Deborah Olorode, Hunter Donchantz, Samrina Khan, Sarah Merenda, Emily Rose Seballas, Zachary Navarro, Nathaniel Gonzalez, Katherine Funsaca, Jessica Manu, and Donovan Jones

Welcome Parents! November 11th MVHS Touchbase

Next Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm.  We are excited to bring back in-person Parent Teacher conferences via our MVHS Touchbase.  This will be the first time in many years that we have attempted a large scale parent-teacher connection event. The purpose of this event is to invite parents/guardians in for a brief 5-7 minute conversation about your student’s overall school progress.  Veteran’s Day is the ideal opportunity to invite our families in for these important conversations.

Student Checkout Policy Update

We would like to reiterate the MVHS Student Check Out Policy. There are three ways that parents can check out students early from school.

  • Parents/guardians can send a written note with students for a prearranged Check Out.  Students take this note to their Alpha Sub School to obtain a check out pass.
  • Parents/guardians can email their student's Alpha Sub School Administrative Assistant
  • Parent/guardians can walk into the main office in person to check out students. Only those listed on the Emergency Contact may check out a student and must provide photo ID.

*** We strongly encourage parents to check out students prior to 2:30pm as the end of the day staff procedures for school dismissal are underway.***
